Stand in Solidarity
7:00-8:00 pm
Brackenberry Square, Downtown Lewiston
Please join us for a one hour event on the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia starting at 7:00 pm in Brackenberry Square.
This is an opportunity for our Queer Community and Allies of the LC Valley and neighboring areas to gather, connect, share, and listen to speakers address the Anti-LGBTQ+ legislation sweeping across America.
This is a peaceful, all-ages gathering. Please keep language and signage appropriate for all ages. Please no curse words, bashing government groups, etc. We encourage signage such as:
No Place For Hate
Legislate Peace Among The People, Not Division
Pride Is a Protest
Education, Not Erasure
Less Bitter, More Glitter
Transgender Care Is Lifesaving Care
Queer Rights Are Human Rights
We will ask that any attendees whose signage is deemed inappropriate or not part of our mission to create social change to put their sign in their vehicle.
We look forward to getting together as a group to lean on one another and strength our bonds as a community.
